What do we do with the information we collect?
When you register with any website of the MENA Financial Inc, we collect information from you, including your name, address, e-mail address and phone numbers. We also monitor customer traffic patterns and use of our pages. This information is stored in our databases that can only be accessed by the senior management of MENA Financial Inc. and the database managers.
We use this information to enable us to improve the Services we provide, for statistical purposes and for billing. The better we know you, the better we can tailor our services to meet your needs.
To enable us to monitor and improve the site, we also gather certain information about you when you use it, including details of your operating system, language, browser version, domain name and IP address, the details of the web site you came from and the pages that you have requested,
In various countries, we are also required to follow regulations, such as the Data Protection Act 1984 and 1998 in the United Kingdom, which sets strict procedures to protect customer information.
We also have certain responsibilities under various Money Laundering legislations to verify the identity of clients and may need to make certain enquiries and obtain certain information from you for that purpose. You confirm that all information you supply will be accurate and that we may pass on such information as we consider necessary to comply with any reporting requirements.
As a supplementary precaution, your password is stored in encrypted form on our website, using a technique called “one way encryption”. This means that we cannot decipher your password. When you type your password in your browser, it is encrypted and sent to us. We then compare the two encrypted passwords. We establish your rights to our system if they match.
We may use this information to tell you about changes or additions to any of our websites. If you do not wish to receive this information you may email us at support.
You agree that we may disclose to any local financial regulator (not necessarily based in the country in which your are using our services) to which we are subject and to any securities exchange on which we may deal or to its related clearing house (or to investigators, inspectors or agents appointed by them), or to any person empowered to require such information by or under any legal enactment, any information they may request or require relating to you or, if relevant, any of your clients.
What about "cookies"?
"Cookies" are small pieces of information that are stored on your computer's hard drive by your browser. We use cookies only to store information such as your User ID and your session identifiers to enable us to identify whether you are registered on to the site and, if so, to shortcut your access to the site without re-typing your name and password, either “today” or for thirty days (“forever”). You control the use of this cookies when you decide to “store your password here” on our top bar. When you “Logout” from the top bar, we remove our cookies from your terminal.
What about Bulletin and Forums?
We provide forums for discussion of various topics. Only our registered members can post and read messages. No additional personal information is required to post messages on our forums, but, in the interest of accountability and information, your userID (not your full name) will be shown as part of the message. Please note that information you post to a forum is available to nay other user and is no longer private.
What about Surveys and Polls?
We run polls on our pages. Your contribution is voluntary and totally anonymous. You do not need to be a registered member to participate. We shall release the conclusions of such polls to third parties on a commercial basis.
We may also run surveys from time, aimed generally aimed at obtaining general information about our members, for example, their investment experience or their reactions to a particular article. Because information obtained in these surveys is connected with individual subscribers and is used internally to better market our services, participation is voluntary. Your answers will be treated as confidential. We may release the aggregate conclusions of such surveys to third parties on a commercial basis. On no occasion would such third-parties be able to connect the information back to you.
Contests and Competitions
We sometimes offers contests and run competitions in which certain personal information is required for registration, for purposes of verifying the entrants' identities and notifying the winners. If a third party is administering the contest, this information will be disclosed to that third party.
All advertisements on this site are published in good faith. Unlike our competitors, we control ourselves the adverts shown on our websites. This means that we have already carried out our own due diligence in respect of these adverts. It is our policy not to release any of your details to unconnected third-parties or other members on our websites. We may however share the collected data with a sponsor who is interested in serving you. You may inform us at any time not to share your personal information with sponsors by sending us an e-mail message at: support.
Clubs and Groups
Although not directly available from the pages of our websites, we can set up many members to belong to the same group or club. One member, called the Administrator, can add other members to a Group so that they all have access to the same portfolios. This is used by companies and investment clubs. In this case, the Administrator is given certain information regarding its members so that he can accept them as part of his club.
